Screenplay Writing Software

Does anyone know of a good software to use for a movie screenplay?

I am an aspiring filmmaker and have a great story to tell, i just need the proper software to help me out. I appreciate all responses thanks.

1. Yes I do. and it's free down load. Go to www.Celtx.com If that's not the oficial website, run a yahoo search for Celtx. It's very user friendly and easy to use. Give it a try, Its the only one I could find that is free and uses the correct formats for screenplays. I too am an aspiring screen writer/film maker
2. You could always use Microsoft Word. It's possible, but it's a complete pain. Scripts have definite formatting requirements that (as far as I know) aren't easily reproducible in Word. I've used Final Draft for a few years now and really like it. If you don't want to drop the cash on Final Draft (or even if you do) you should definitely take a look at CeltX. It's an open-source, free screenwriting program that has a lot of interesting features. http://www.celtx.com/ http://www.finaldraft.com/
